One was ruled by the good-natured King of Hearts, and the other by the evil King of Spades. The two neighbors lived in harmony until the King of Hearts defeated the King of Spades at chess. The latter, greatly angered, declared war on his neighbor. And so the fairy tales ended and the feuds began.
