Features never-before-seen footage, interviews and artwork, spanning Burton's early career at Disney to the makings of his films Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), as well as Netflix’s Addams Family spin-off series Wednesday.
This four-part docuseries traces Tim Burton’s journey from misunderstood outsider to Hollywood’s gothic disruptor, revealing how his childhood, misfit family of collaborators, and personal triumphs and losses shaped the iconic worlds of Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and beyond. Told through never-before-seen art, intimate stories, and rare footage, it’s the definitive portrait of an artist who built magic out of being different.
