ASWIN ASHA PRADEEP is a filmmaker and director from Kerala, India, working across fiction, documentary, and experimental cinema. He holds a Diploma in Film and Television Production from Saint Paul’s Institute of Communication Education, Bangalore, and is a postgraduate student of Film Direction at the K.R. Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, Kerala. Aswin’s directorial works include The Uncaught Culprit (പിടികിട്ടാപ്പുള്ളി), a short film selected for the NOIA Festival 2025, and Home Is Where I Died, an experimental documentary exploring war, trauma, empathy, and the psychological distance between those who experience violence and those who witness it from afar. His both works have also been selected for the 17th and 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK), one of India’s prominent festivals dedicated to documentary and short-form cinema. Alongside filmmaking, Aswin has worked as an Assistant Director in advertising production and has contributed to commercial projects, including promotional work associated with Hotstar and the Malayalam film Bro Daddy.
