Mo Ji-min is a non-binary South Korean dancer who was assigned male at birth. In 1998, she began living with Yevgeny Stepan—a Russian journalist and former chemist residing in South Korea—and the two came to regard themselves as a same-sex married couple. Because her partner is a dissident who supports Alexei Navalny, and facing residency issues stemming from the enactment of a law banning the promotion of homosexuality, she applied for refugee status, which was granted on October 27, 2023. She was featured in the book "I Am More" and the film "I Am More".
