PLOT
Over the course of four albums, one EP, one side project with Miles Kane and an EP of songs from the film Submarine, Alex Turner has cemented his position as one of the best lyricists and songwriters Britain has ever produced. From the flinty-eyed observations of errant behaviour on their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not, to the more elemental prophecies of this year’s Suck It And See, his voice remains a sharp tool, ready to dissect anything, from a bad night out to the melancholy effects of the aging process.
