PLOT
In the pages of a farmer's handwritten journal, the fracture of a village comes into view. At the foot of Mount Gede, the expansion of a geothermal project tears into land considered sacred, seizing ground its people have worked for generations. Grassroots resistance slowly decays into suspicion between neighbours, until residents themselves are driven to a boiling point of helplessness. Following the ink trail and personal archive of farmer-activist Cece Jaelani, On the Verge of Seething traces how collective rage hardens into an inherited fate, culminating in an ancient act: residents pleading for the mountain itself to erupt.
