PLOT
At the height of the rubber boom, the British presence transformed the Amazon. Ports, railways, mansions, and river transport connected Manaus and Belém to the world. Revisiting this period, the documentary reveals how modernization was sustained through the exploitation and erasure of Indigenous peoples and Black communities, questioning the enduring marks left by this past.
