PLOT
Operation Arnon: Inside Israel's Daring Hostage Rescue in Gaza tells the story of a high-stakes Israeli rescue mission to free hostages held by Hamas in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp on June 8, 2024. The operation unfolded in broad daylight, under heavy fire, in one of the most densely populated areas of Gaza. Through firsthand accounts from Israeli commanders, intelligence officials, and the family of Chief Inspector Arnon Zmora—who was killed during the mission—the film traces the planning, execution, and aftermath of one of the most complex hostage rescues in recent history. The mission required near-perfect intelligence, simultaneous assaults on multiple locations, and infiltration into a crowded urban battlefield. What followed was an intense firefight as Israeli forces worked to extract the hostages. The film also explores the controversy surrounding the operation, including casualty reports from Gaza and the broader debate over how the raid has been portrayed internationally.
